Welcome
After graduating from Brighton University in 1999, Emma worked for a furniture design company based in Covent Garden, London. Emma worked alongside the designers and the client to create various pieces of furniture to meet the client’s requirements. All this changed when Emma started a family. Although Emma specialised in Ceramics at University, she has since pursued the idea of setting up her own business.
With her love of fabrics, antique and modern and collection of buttons and beads, Emma has turned her talents to textile design and art. She uses the term ‘painting with fabric’ to describe her work due to the nature of the colours, tones, textures and patterns found in the materials she has salvaged.
Emma’s work covers a broad area of disciplines, ranging from wall hangings to jewellery and she has continued to work to commission. Through exhibitions and her website she has sold throughout Europe and the USA. If you would like to commission a work and have a piece of fabric that you wish to be incorporated, please feel free to contact her.
